The sun's rays tickle your skin. The days are getting longer and the temperatures are rising. This makes our camper hearts beat faster! We can hardly wait for our first trip and our first holiday.
That means getting your motorhome ready for the season!
We've put together some useful tips on how to get your Carado camper ready for the season after hibernation. So that your first holiday is an absolute pleasure.
Spring cleaning
Especially if your motorhome has been standing outside during the winter, you should first thoroughly ventilate the interior and check for water damage and mould. Clean the motorhome with a moderately damp cloth: the surfaces, the refrigerator and the freezer compartment. Vacuum upholstered furniture, carpets and mattresses. The windows and exterior can also be cleaned. And we know: this is not necessarily a fun activity. However, the result is a clean motorhome in which you feel completely at ease. So get ready for your first holiday and we wish you a safe journey!
Technical check
First things first: are the main inspection, gas test and leak test still valid? The latter is also important if the leakage guarantee has expired. Specialist garages check the basic functions and change the oil if necessary.
Here you should also check the exterior and interior of your vehicle, as well as the base vehicle.
You can find an overview of which functions you should check (or have checked) and a practical checklist here: Checklist for the start of the season
