Is your refrigerator not cooling sufficiently? What can you do to make the refrigerator adjust the temperature and cool it down more?
Please check the following possible causes:
- Insufficient ventilation of the unit
Check whether the ventilation grilles are covered and remove them if necessary. Clean the space behind the ventilation grille (e.g. of leaves) by removing the ventilation grille. - Thermostat set too low
Please set the thermostat higher. - Cooling fins heavily iced up
Please check that the refrigerator door closes properly and close it properly after each opening. This will prevent the cooling fins from icing up. - Too much hot food stored in a short space of time
Allow the hot food to cool down after cooking and before storing. - The appliance has not been in operation for long
Please check again after about 4-5 hours whether the refrigerator is now cooling properly. - Ambient temperature too high
To support the refrigerator, you can temporarily remove the ventilation grille. Please do not forget to reattach it properly before you start your Carado vehicle. - Vehicle is not levelled
Please park your vehicle horizontally.
Tip: If you want to ensure sufficient cooling during the journey, you should always pre-cool the refrigerator via 230V or gas before setting off.
