On rainy days, you like to sit comfortably in your motorhome and watch TV. For a self-aligning satellite dish to function reliably, it must be correctly retracted and extended.
If the SAT system of your motorhome cannot be retracted as intended, please proceed step by step as follows.
Quick step-by-step remedy
1. Start motor
Start the motor of your motorhome. For safety reasons, many SAT systems have an automatic switch-off or retraction function that is activated when the motor is started. The SAT system usually switches on automatically after a few seconds.
2. Resetting the SAT system (Reset)
If the SAT system does not retract automatically, please perform a restart or reset by completely de-energising the vehicle:
Switch off the control panel above the entrance door.
Disconnect the 230 V shore power plug (if connected).
Set the battery disconnect switch on the EBL to OFF.
Then wait approx. 15 minutes so that the control unit can reset itself completely.
Subsequently:
Set the battery disconnect switch back to ON.
If necessary, reconnect the 230 V connection.
Switch on the control panel and try to retract the SAT system or SAT dish using the control unit.
3. Manually securing the SAT system
If the SAT system (SAT dish) cannot be retracted even after the reset, the vehicle must not be moved with the SAT system extended.
In this case, proceed as follows:
Carefully remove the jointed arm including the parabolic mirror using the two screws on the joint.
Stow the SAT system safely in the rear garage of the vehicle to prevent damage while travelling.
4. Visit dealers
Then find your nearest Carado dealer. The fault can be professionally analysed there and the SAT system repaired.
Notes on the cause of the error
Cable break or loose plug connection: These can be caused by vibrations and result in the SAT system not receiving correct signals.
Engine problems: A dirty or defective drive motor can prevent the SAT system from travelling correctly.
Spare parts supply: Spare parts for mobile SAT systems are not always readily available - in many cases a complete module unit is required.

Alternative reception options
If satellite reception is not an option at the moment, you can watch TV via the internet using streaming solutions such as smart TVs, streaming sticks or tablets.
However, we recommend using the Wi-Fi connection of the Camping ground , as otherwise the data volume will be used up quickly.
If the SAT system does not function properly despite these checks, please contact a Carado dealer.
